TVG on Films: RIP Tony Scott

It brings me great sadness to inform you that a true cinematic hero has passed after jumping to his death yesterday in California. Tony Scott (68) was perhaps one of my favourite directors of all time and his relationship with Denzel Washington delivered one of my favourite movies of all time – Man on Fire. Tony and Denzel seemed to have one of the tightest relationships in Hollywood producing 5 films together and I’m sure Denzel along with the entire film industry will be truly devastated.

Scott directed some of my favourite movies including Top Gun, Man on Fire, Enemy of the State, Beverly Hills Cop 2 and The Last Boy Scout. I was overjoyed to find out Tony would be working on the sequel to Top Gun when it was announced earlier this year, sadly I doubt it will go ahead. A talented director and producer – rest in peace Tony Scott.
