TVG Christmas Wishlist – Hugo

Christmas is my favourite time of the year not only because my birthday follows very shortly after, but also because I get to spend some relaxing time with my family, enjoying good food and good company. This year I get to spend Christmas in New York which is hugely exciting for me but not so much for my wallet, especially when I get to Fifth Avenue. Some of us may have already begun to compile a short list of gifts we would like to receive at Christmas, so to help you bulk it up a bit, here is a collection of gifts that I’ve had my eye on.

Compak K3 Push Coffee Grinder – $479

Fresh ground coffee is essential for any type of coffee, be it plunger, brewed or espresso. This is because ground coffee goes stale very quickly, losing flavour and precious oils. The Compak K3 Push is the perfect grinder for either a domestic environment or workplace. It features a step-less grinder, timed dosage and an option between manual and automatic, making it a very user-friendly grinder which minimises excess ground spillage. Available in a glossy black finish, The Compak is probably one of the best, if not the best, value for money grinders on the market.

Sperry Top-siders – Neon Soles for Barney’s NY - $69-100

In late October we briefly looked at these shoes, a limited edition collaboration between Sperry and Barney’s New York [LINK] which were released on the 19th of November. During summer, my Top-Siders seem to be my preferred choice of shoes, as the easy to slip on boat shoes are well aerated and ridiculously comfortable. At first glance at the Neon Sperrys, I was completely hooked. The bright neon soles accent the shoes extremely well and allows you stand out when you’re around in the city, or more appropriately, at the beach. They’re available in a range of different colours as well as in both suede and premium leather. I recommend the tan suede with the neon orange, as the 2 colours compliment each other particularly well.
