For the first time ever, British sports car maker Lotus have unveiled a motorcycle, the C-01. Created by Daniel Simon, the man behind the visual effects in the movie Tron, the C-01 looks like nothing resembling anything on the road today.
“We have worked hard to create a motorcycle with very distinctive features such as a clean main body, an extremely low side profile, a bold stance, a unique air intake, logical partline solutions and clean graphics,” said Simon.
The C-01 isn’t just about good looks either, it’s a state-of-the-art superbike with a body built from titanium, carbon fibre and naturally aerospace quality steel delivering a curb weight of only 181kg. Behind the unique air intake is a V-twin engine boasting 200hp. There’s no word on performance but considering its low-profile design and Lotus’ history you can bet it’ll be blisteringly fast.
The C-01 will be limited to 100 units and will cost too much to consider.
