THE LAVITTA COLLECTION BY POIAT PRODUCTS – FINLAND
Every house, bar, restaurant and hotel needs chairs, and too often the same old ‘fashionable’ chairs are seen peppered throughout a large conglomerate of copy-cat venues. Well, Finnish Architecture company Poiat have produced a range of minimalistic, fun and fashionable chairs that will be sure to rival the ever so common vintage metal pieces that populate every 2nd cafe in Sydney.
The Lavitta collection comprises of chairs, occasional table, benches and a dining table and are all heavily influenced by traditional Finnish outdoor furniture. A simple pressed plywood structure forms the frame of the chairs, which allows several pieces to be lined up within one another to save on space when storing. An earthy colour palette lends this collection to almost any home, restaurant or cafe. The simple design of the chair is paired with precision curvature of the backrest, which highlights that simple design does not mean lack of detail.
There’s no word on when these will be available to purchase, however given the current hype and interest surrounding the collection I would imagine sometime this year.
