The ‘Best’ of Milan Fashion Week

Wow. Milan Fashion Week. I don’t even know what to say. I’ve used the word ‘best’ in the title. As a forewarning please take that with a pinch of salt.

I’ve just sat here for 2 hours flicking through every look so far and suffice to say, it was a chore. There’s a reason this #menswear trend has boomed so much in the last few years – fashion week. The quote ‘fashions fade, style is eternal’ is one you’ll want to keep top of mind this year, not just because its never been so true, but because you’ll literally want the majority of it to fade from your mind.

After reviewing Tommy Ton’s Pitti Uomo photos of real men dressed impeccably, it’s hard to believe that Milan Fashion Week even draws a crowd! Anyway I’ll leave it at that, I could go on a serious rant about this, perhaps my tastes just don’t lend to haute fashion. Despite this it’s good to know what’s going on so we’ve pulled some of the better looks out of the quagmire so you don’t have to.

Honourable mentions go out to Hardy Amies, Brioni, Kent and Curwen and I was pleasantly surprised by the offering from both Salvatore Ferragamo and John Varvartos.
