Californian Porsche specialist Singer has finally unveiled shots of their latest creation built in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering and it’s fair to say it might just be the greatest Porsche creation of all time.
The Singer and Williams project was born from a client’s request for a lighter and faster 1990 Porsche 964 to which Singer embarked on a ‘Dynamics and Lightweighting’ study with Williams F1 for two years resulting in a curb weight as low as 988kg from extensive use of magnesium, titanium and carbon fibre.
The resulting Singer and Williams car boasts a bunch of new elements engineered by Williams, as well as forged magnesium wheels by BBS sitting on bespoke Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, Brembo calipers with carbon composite rotors and a magnesium six-speed transmission by Hewland all designed to give Singer customer’s Porsche 964s lighter and better handling. The standout modification, however, is a 500hp (373kW) air-cooled flat-six built by Williams alongside the rest of the car at their facility in the UK.
Costs will vary, circa $1,000,000 depending on what the owner chooses to spec their build with, and only 75 will be made!
