Straight up it sounds good. What man on earth doesn’t want to confess to his pals that he has the Range Rover Sport, ‘Oh but mine is the Stealth Edition’. Yesterday Land Rover released the Range Rover Sport Stealth Edition, an accessory package for the 2014 Sport which will be unveiled later this month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Included in the Stealth Package are a number of exterior enhancements, including a satin black grille and grille surround, fog lamp bezels, hood and fender vents, upper mirror caps, a tailgate finisher and a ‘stealth’ finish on the non-reflective headlights and tail lights. Customers will also have the choice of 21 or 22inch wheels finished in satin black.
The Stealth Pack will only be available on the top HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Dynamic models. That means buyers will be able choose from a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 (HSE) with 340 horsepower, or a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 (Autobiography) with 510 hp.
Whilst I love the name I’m surprised they released images of this in white, can’t say I wasn’t expecting a steel grey or black! Regardless of this, any SUV that can sprint from a standstill to 100km/h in 5 seconds flat possesses elements of stealthiness in my books.
Land Rover is expected to begin taking orders for the Stealth Pack later this year, with deliveries beginning in early 2015.
