Mercedes-Benz has finally unveiled their latest commercial vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class Concept ute.
The new dual cab Mercedes-Benz pick-up has been shown in two forms, the luxurious ‘Stylish Explorer’ and the rugged ‘Powerful Adventurer’ and will go on sale in Australia in the third quarter of 2017.
“With the Mercedes-Benz X-Class Concept, we will close one of the last gaps in our portfolio,” says Mercedes-Benz chairman Dieter Zetsche. “Our target is to offer customers vehicles matching their specific needs. The pick-up will set new standards in a growing segment.”
The new Mercedes-Benz X-Class Concept Ute has been developed in a joint venture with the Nissan Navara and Renault Alaskan, alongside which the X-Class will be produced in both Spain and Argentina.
The front ends of both concepts showcase unmistakable Mercedes-Benz styling, including the German car maker’s traditional grille treatment with a prominent centrally mounted three-pointed star emblem along with the company’s latest headlamp lineage.
The Stylish Explorer features an on-road road biased wheel and tyre package, moderate ride height and a luxurious leather lined interior while the Powerful Adventurer gets additional ground clearance, four-wheel drive, additional wheel arch and body side cladding and off-road wheels shod with traction enhancing tyres.
