There’s over 500 hotels to choose from in New York so naturally making the right decision is made a little easier with a solid recommendation. If you’re heading to New York for a shopping spree and plan on spending the majority of your time in Suit Supply, IWC, Barney’s and Bergdorf Goodman, may I suggest a night or two in Library Hotel, conveniently located on the corner of Madison and 41st.
Library Hotel has a stellar reputation, voted the top boutique hotel in Manhattan, it’s easy to see why. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who assured us we had ‘one of the best rooms in the hotel’, featuring a bay window that looked down the length of Madison Avenue. Our room was large and very well appointed with a separate seating area positioned perfectly for looking down on the bustling Madison Ave. As we got ready for the Suit Supply grand opening we ordered some Old Fashioned’s from the hotel’s excellent rooftop bar which happened to be heaving with locals – a typical Wednesday I was told.
Returning from a night of serious drinking we headed to second floor Library area which is open 24 hours a day to call our significant others and then up to the room to sample the delightful turndown chocolates that were left out for us. Finally I must bring to your attention just how comfortable the bed was at Library Hotel, there’s no doubt it was the most comfortable I slept in all trip and have slept in for a long long time. In fact we’re still talking about it!
We’d like to extend a thank you to General Manager Robert and his team at Library Hotel who hosted us for a perfect, no stress evening. We couldn’t recommend the hotel more!
