Lexus are pretty confident that their all-new, fourth Generation RX SUV, is going to make a statement. So confident in fact, they decide to make their own statement, with an extreme stunt that involved a chap in Wingsuit, jumping from a Caribou plane 12,000 feet above sea level, before landing skill fully on a flatbed trailer carrying the new car.
Searching the world for a Lexus driver who dares to step forward, Lexus Australia invited Jeb Corliss, one of the world’s top Wingsuit pilots to get behind the wheel of the first RX in Australia, in the most dramatic way possible. Check out the clip below.
The new RX SUV showcases a range of features, most noticeably a new bold new exterior. The fourth gen RX is also lower, longer and wider providing a lower centre of gravity which delivers better handling and steering, as well as improvements on general ride and comfort. Australia offers the widest choice of any Lexus market in the world. RX 200t, RX 350 and RX 450h all provide varying grade levels, the 350 is an upgraded 3.5 litre V6 and the 450h offers a hybrid. The midsize luxury SUV sports an entirely redesigned cabin offering increased space, while also incorporating the new Lexus Safety System for all variants.
“This new, fourth-generation RX takes the midsize luxury SUV to new levels with the new RX 200t model and dynamic styling, high standard specification and a new luxury interior”.
Lexus celebrates 25 years of bold design and quality craftsmanship in Australia this year. The RX has shaped a convincing customer base in Australia since its 2003 launch, contributing the most of all Lexus models to the brand’s sales volume. We expect the new generation of RX to follow in suit.
