Jaguar reveals ‘Project 7’ concept before Goodwood debut

Goodwood Festival of Speed kicks off today and the car that’s got the world talking is Jaguar’s ‘Project 7’ based off the phenomenal new F-Type. The Project 7 makes it’s official debut at the festival but it didn’t stop Jaguar releasing some lovely images and a short video of the gargling 542BHP supercharged V8 to create some pre show hype.

The design of the P7 was overseen by the creator of the F-Type Mr Ian Callum and features a chopped-down front windscreen, as well as a 10mm drop in ride height and 20-inch alloys, finished in black to match the carbon front splitter, side skirts and vents. Jaguar fans will also notice the retro turret taken from the iconic D-type with the blue paintwork paying tribute to early Le Mans race cars. As you’ll hear in the video below the P7 sounds like a blood thirsty rottweiler which is aided by the car’s ceramic coated exhaust.

Unfortunately Project 7 is a one of a kind concept but for a lucky bunch these images will become a reality as Jaguar engineer Mike Cross puts the P7 through it’s paces in front of the Goodwood spectators. Now watch the video because my words can’t do it justice anymore!
