Only a fortnight ago did I have the pleasure of spending four fantastic nights at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa. I’m by no means a Fiji veteran and am yet to stay on one of the outer islands which I hear are fantastic, but as mainland Fiji goes, I don’t think the InterContinental can be beaten. Now that’s a pretty confident statement but after staying at the Westin on Denarau Island on my first visit, checking out the accommodations at the Sheraton and Sheraton Denarau Villas and spending an afternoon at the Shangri-La on my recent trip I can assure you that InterContinental trumps them all.
What I seek in a tropical holiday is absolute luxury and this is what the InterContinental delivers in droves. I was attending a wedding at the near by Shangri-La on Yanuca Island and whilst the ceremony was beautiful, the hotel was more of a hostel – comparing the two is laughable. I try to avoid being negative on the website but I feel like I have a duty to inform you all. Please gents for your own sake, if you’re looking for a Fijian holiday avoid Shangri-La at all costs. If you’re like me and require a modern and luxurious hotel with top-notch facilities, spa, golf course and restaurants located on a gorgeous tropical white sandy beach read on, as TVG breaks down everything you need to know about the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa.
