Off the back of one of the most thrilling driver’s cars ever built, Lamborghini has unveiled a convertible version of their Huracan Performante, the Huracan Performante Spyder, and did so in a polarising matte blue.
A delight on all senses, the Huracan Performante Spyder utilises incredible forged carbon to reduce the Huracan’s weight by 35kg, with the famous 5.2l V10 producing a healthy 477kW, getting the car to 100k/h in 3.1 seconds.
The Huracan Performante already delivers the most heightened feedback and emotion from road and track, and the Huracan Performante Spyder puts the driver even closer to asphalt and air, allowing the driver to enjoy the naturally-aspirated powerplant with the top down.
Like the Huracan Performante coupé, the Spyder features an enhanced suspension system; recalibrated ESC; more responsive Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS); permanent four-wheel and Lamborghini’s driver-mode system comprising STRADA, SPORT and CORSA, which customizes the set-up of all the car’s dynamic systems.
The car’s roof will deploy in 17 seconds at a speed up to 50km/h, but the loss of the roof comes at a price for the Spyder’s weight, tipping the scales at 125kg more than the coupe Huracan Performante Coupe.
How much extra the topless experience is worth in Australia is yet to be confirmed.
