If you haven’t already done so, I suggest you watch the trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s new film Kingsman: The Secret Service. Please find it below.
In short the movie is about a secret spy organisation who poach new members with the ‘x-factor’ and Colin Firth is dressed immaculately throughout by costume designer Arianne Phillips. MR PORTER has recently announced a pioneering new business venture with the film’s director Matthew Vaughn and Phillips, through the creation of a new menswear label, ‘Kingsman’, inspired by his forthcoming feature film. With the bespoke tailoring reflecting a renewed appreciation for classic British style, Vaughn realised he could build upon a product range that is both a distinctive part of the film and an easily translatable collection for the modern gentleman.
For the first time a brand will be transformed from costume to collection giving movie fans the ability to buy into the world of the film via MR PORTER. The entire bespoke 60-piece Kingsman menswear collection, which features throughout the film will launch exclusively on MR PORTER in September. The collection includes suiting, outerwear, shirting, knitwear and accessories made from the the likes of Drakes, Turnbull & Asser, George Cleverly, Bremont and Swaine Adeney Brigg.
“Men’s style has always been inspired by the look of leading men in film but this is the first time that the costumes for a movie have been conceived with the idea of selling those clothes to the film’s audience. You could literally be sitting in the cinema watching this film and shopping the looks from your mobile device or tablet as you watch.”
