Foxtel signs deal with beIN Sports offering three new channels as a part of Foxtel’s sports package.
Commencing May 15, Foxtel customers with the sports package will get three new beIN Sports channels at no extra cost. For those of you who already subscribe to beIN on top of your sports package, you no longer have to pay extra. This comes after Foxtel lost the Australian television rights for the Premier League to Optus.
Fox Sports subscribers will now have a variety of football leagues to view, including La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga, as well as the Europa League and some South American football. The final of both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League will be screened live, along with the UEFA EURO 2016 tournament.
This takes Fox Sports from 9 channels to 12 in total, which is amazing. It’s a great shame they couldn’t pull this off while keeping the Premier League.
Fortunately, we get to see more of this guy.
