Prior to its unveiling at the Detroit Motor Show today, images of the 2015 Porsche 991 911 Targa were leaked and we’ve got them here for your viewing pleasure.
The Targa has made an emphatic return, paying homage to its glory days by resurrecting the original design of the iconic 1967 911 Targa. Unlike the vintage model the 2015 Targa will feature an electronic roof that slips away with the click of a button and a fixed rear window, perfect for the man who likes a bit of wind in his hair but doesn’t want to look like a washed up divorcee looking for a 23 year old date.
The car will be offered with engines similar to the 991 Carrera 4 and 4S. This means that the Targa 4 will be powered by a 3.4 litre flat 6 engine producing 350 bhp and a 3.8 litre flat 6 that produces 400 horsepower in the Targa 4S. Both engines will transfer torque to all four wheels via the excellent 7-speed PDK transmission.
We’ll keep you posted when we hear more!
