Farshun in the Sun with Pretty Shady

Sponsored by Pretty Shady

Last week, we published our first article for Pretty Shady 2016, about eight great suncare products for men to help you stay protected this Summer. Pretty Shady aims to make young people aware that even your day to day exposure to the sun, heading out to grab a coffee or heading for the bus, can be enough to develop melanomas – it’s that simple. Sun protection is something you need to add to your daily routine, not just the days spent lying on the beach.

With this in mind, we reached out to a handful of our favourite Australian brands producing quality everyday garments, and hit the water on a rather inclement day – the exact type of day you wouldn’t expect to get sunburnt. TVG’s resident model Nick, along with Tom, donned a selection of looks, with pieces from Venroy, Mocha Salt, Barney Cools and OBLYK, before climbing aboard Hayden Shapes’ finest for a unique Summer photoshoot. Following some towing action behind the Ballistic Rib, the gents freshened up for some more formal shots in Venroy linen.

We introduced this year’s campaign with products, because we believe that sunscreen is one of the first things that people use when thinking about sun protection. Ensuring you’re shielded, means finding the simple balance of sunscreen, clothing and sunsafe accessories, and here’s the proof that you can look good doing it.
