A serious portion of young adults in Australia bank with the Commonwealth Bank. I’m going to attribute that to the ingenious Dollarmites program established in primary schools in the early 90s which gave parents the easy option to set up bank accounts up for their children. Whatever the reason, for those that have stayed with the bank and employed their credit card service, you are about to be rewarded with one of the most functional partnerships in the history of banking. I’m a Commbank Gold Credit cardholder and my card is attached to my frequent flyer account because until now I saw no real use for Commonwealth Awards.
Well it could be about time to revert back because from November 23 Commonwealth are introducing an Australian first instant rewards partnership so you can use their Awards points to purchase merchandise by all or part payment using Points Plus Pay at every Myer store in the country. Finally someone has clued on to meaningless awards programs and introduced something that people will actually use and will be grateful for.
There is no limit on what you can purchase, it applies to every item sold in Myer so whether it’s a new pair of CK’s, some perfume for your lady friend or a 65inch TV to watch the Boxing Day test, Commbank Awards has you covered. This is a good move from Commonwealth, which will strengthen brand loyalty and most importantly, help Australian gentlemen acquire the necessary items to live the life they desire.
