Architects Igor Martin and Olga Novikova of MARTIN Architects blend practicality and aesthetics in this young lawyer’s clever loft. With the use of furniture, decoration, lighting and colour accents, the space is divided into functional areas. Only being 115 square metres in size, the loft still offers very spacious rooms, even having a decent size study located just off the bedroom. The one bedroom loft uses the large glass wall between the living space and bedroom to further emphasise a sense of space. The dark timber feature wall in the bedroom ties in with the flooring and exposed ceiling beams. Hanging pendants soften the masculine feel, creating a calmer ambience in the each room, durable metal and steel furniture finishes off the overall concept. Considered to be a ‘clever house’, all commands of the home are run through the owner’s phone or tablet. The home is located in the middle of Kyiv, Ukraine.
