First Look at the 2015 Mazda MX-5

Journalists around the world have finally been given the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the all new 2015 Mazda MX-5 ND along with fresh photos emerging from the Japanese manufacturer.

Magazines across the world had their first encounter with Mazda’s new 129hp roadster and churned out their initial impressions, which have praised the new MX-5’s more compact and lighter body that weighs 100kg less than the third-generation model and only 50kg more than the original NA from 1989.

The 1.5 litre engine eclipses 7,000 rpm but the testers say it won’t push your back on the seat – although that wasn’t Mazda’s intention, as the MX-5 is a back to basics sports car for drivers who appreciate a well-balanced and engineered machine made to put a smile on your face with its handling and playful character.

There will be a more powerful 2.0-litre engine on offer however it is yet to be tested by journalists who are hoping it will provide the extra surge of power to keep you glued to the seat!
