For Sale: 1950’s Omega Seamaster Automatic

This immaculate Omega Seamaster is a rare 14k gold filled ref.2828 case dating from 1955. Inside the lovely refinished case is Omega’s very first 360 degree bi-directional rotor movement, the 17 jewel cal.470 which is protected by a mint condition stainless steel case back that predates the Seamaster logo. Both the midsize 32mm case and the limited run cal.470 movement are considered rare and collectible. The case and beige dial are both in stunning condition with not one noticeable imperfection. The watch comes on a virtually unused tan leather strap that complements the gold case beautifully.

This is a midsize watch with a diameter of 32mm (34mm) with case. Most vintage watches are roughly 35mm so this particular model may be better suited for a man with a slightly smaller wrist. Regardless of size this iconic vintage watch is impressively elegant and draws many an interested glance from any watch lover.

Case width: 32mm (34mm with crown)
Length: 38mm
